Transition of Life...
I Have To PeeA first of manys.
Recently I have decided to focus on becoming a tattoo artist for the future. This means updating a new and improved portfolio, as well as experimenting into forms of art that I usually try my best to stay away from for whatever reason. I have compiled a list of exactly everything that should be included in this new portfolio. Things such as painting, watercolors, sketches, charcoal work, ink and marker pieces, anatomy sketches, detail-oriented pieces, realism, cartoons (anime), color-schemes, good use of composition, animals, digital, nudity, fantasy, and actual tattoo flash. Some of these things I am already good at, and others (primarily the messy arts, such as paint and charcoal), I am not. Either way, I will try my best for the months to come to become confident with most of these mediums.
I plan to get my own tattoo very soon, on my next birthday. It will be of my own design and original characters. My mom won't allow me to get a tattoo that I didn't draw myself, and I agree with that. I will work on the design soon. I hope to have two tattoos of my own design within the next year. I also hope to update my piercings. I need to gauge my ears up to 2's, and get my snakebites. I need to change my bellybutton piercing as well, except that every time I feel it's ok to do so, it proves me wrong and gives me problems. More sea salt baths, I guess. That's what I get for piercing things myself.
I need to get to know my tattoo artist very well, haha. I am looking forward to an apprenticeship, and I will work hard towards that.
And I need to apply to some jobs as well. I'm fresh out of high school and do not plan to go to college at the time being. I plan to apply to Hot Topic soon, or something alternative such as that. I simply would not feel comfortable working in a place that allows no piercings.
Sorry I haven't been on in absolutely forever. Hopefully, with this new portfolio project of mine, I will have things up and submitted soon.
